Research Results, Inc. was founded by Dr. Sharon A. Joyce, a multi-faceted expert on effective research strategies in specialty areas such as human resources, academic research, and legal proceedings.
Human Resources
Research Results provides consulting services to businesses seeking guidance with human resource strategies for handling employee relations and building programs that motivate, reward and retain top talent. Dr. Joyce offers expert witness testimony on employment and human resources.
Academic ResearchResearch Results partners with higher education institutions to prepare for and meet the ongoing accreditation requirements set by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC)

Dr. Joyce possesses extensive experience leading organizations through all stages of the accreditation process with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
Research and Analysis
- Designed survey instruments to solicit quantitative and qualitative feedback for establishing future policies for program improvement
- Conducted research studies on student satisfaction and persistence using national database sources representing multiple universities and colleges and singular institutional studies
Curriculum Overview and Reports
- Soliciting feedback from students and faculty on their level of satisfaction with educational programs
- Reviewed and analyzed program curriculum design, student services, and academic policies and procedures
- Prepared and presented written reports and oral presentations for Academic Committees, Deans, faculty, students, external accreditators and Boards of Directors
Human Resources
Dr. Joyce possesses extensive experience leading organizations through all stages of the accreditation process with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
- Managed a human resource staff of twelve and provided human resource services to 1500 employees ranging in position from landscape maintenance personnel to scientific Nobel Laureates
- Oversaw HR functions including technical and academic recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee relations, training and development, and human resource information systems
- Extensive experience developing and communicating compensation and benefits programs to board level executives and all levels of employees
- Involved in both a start-up of a new Human Resource department and the downsizing and restructuring of company departments
- Wide range of experience writing and communicating human resources policies, procedures and handbooks that comply with employment regulations
Litigation - Expert Witness Testimony
Dr. Joyce has performed litigation support services since 1995, working with lawyers representing both employers and employees, plaintiffs and defendants.
- Prepared reports and declarations in support of her opinions and has provided deposition testimony when needed
- Assisted with law firms’ investigation of employee complaints, preparation of relevant discovery requests, implementation of employee terminations, and preparation of trial witnesses and exhibits
